Use this salsa and Fermented Jalapenos to spice up your Mexican dishes. Cultured salsa is one of the easiest ways to get your family to try cultured foods. They are made in a blender so they're super simple. I don't know of a person who doesn't like salsa. Salsa is chocked full of nutrients and this one has probiotics too!~Donna

Ingredients
  • 1/4teaspoon Cutting Edge Culturesor you can use 1 TBSP kefir whey
  • 2large tomatoescoarsely chopped
  • 2cloves Fermented Garlicminced. You can use regular garlic too
  • 1small red pepperchopped and seeded
  • 1/2large red onioncoarsely chopped
  • 1 serrano pepperseeded and coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 limejuiced
  • 1teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/3cup cilantrocoarsely chopped
  • 1teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2teaspoon Celtic Sea Salt
Servings: pint

Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in blender, and blend until smooth.
  2. Place in glass jar and seal.
  3. Sit on counter for 2 days and then transfer to refrigerator.

Note* This will last 3 months in the refrigerator.

  1. Your recipe looks so good. I am new to cultured foods. How does this taste compared to not cultured? I need to get my husband and daughter to eat this.
