Walnut Miso Pesto

  • 2 cloves GarlicYou can use Fermented Garlic too!
  • cup Walnuts
  • ¾ cup basil leavesfresh, torn into small pieces
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • cup Parmesan Cheesepreferably Parmigiano- Reggiano
  • 2 tablespoon Misowhite miso is best


  • In a food processor, process the garlic with a few pulses till finely minced.
  • Add the nuts, basil, and, oil, and pulse again several times.
  • Add the cheese and miso and process until the pesto is well combined.
  • Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It can last a week stored in the fridge.
