Kefir Bowl With Stewed Fruit
This Kefir Bowl is creamy, nourishing, and just a little indulgent—perfect for breakfast or a light dessert. By straining your kefir with a cheese strainer or cloth, you create a thick, tangy base similar to Greek yogurt but with billions more probiotics. Top it with gently stewed fruit, a swirl of nut butter, and a dollop of whipped kefir topping for a bowl that’s as beautiful as it is good for your gut. Straining also gives you mineral-rich whey that can be used in smoothies, dressings, or even to start another fermentation. It’s one of my favorite ways to enjoy kefir in a new, spoonable form.

Instructions
Stewed Fruit
- Place 1-2 cups of fresh or frozen fruit in a pan with 1-2 tbsp of water. Cook over medium-low heat, crushing the fruit with a fork until the fruit releases its juices and thickens slightly. Let it sit or refrigerate it until it cools down and thickens.
Kefir Bowl
- Place strained kefir into a bowl and top with stewed fruit, nut butter, and whipped kefir topping. Eat and enjoy.
Notes
I normally get 2 cups of whey and 2 cups of cheese out of the 4 cups of yogurt.
