Chai Kefir Parfait

I like to use Tazo Chai tea bags. You can use whatever Chai tea bag you like or make your own blend. Layer with your choice of toppings: Granola, pecans, toasted coconut, fruit, etc... Whatever you can dream up.

Ingredients

Second Fermented Chai Kefir

Chai Kefir Parfait

  • 1/2 cup Kefir - fermented with chai tea bag and cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup Coconut Cream
  • 3 teaspoons honey - You can substitute stevia for a sugar free option
  • 1/2 cup granola - or coconut flakes, etc.

Instructions

Chai Kefir

  • Make your kefir normally and take the grains out.
  • Place your kefir in a clamp down jar.
  • Add a chai tea bag. You can also add a cinnamon stick with the tea bag to make extra cinnamon flavor (optional)
  • Let your kefir sit on the counter for another 2 -6 hours.
  • Take out the tea bag (and cinnamon stick)
  • Measure out 1/2 cup for your Parfait. The rest of it you can either drink or place in the refrigerator for later.

Chai Kefir Parfait

  • Mix first three ingredients together by hand or in food processor until smooth.
  • Layer with your choice of toppings: Granola , pecans, toasted coconut, fruit, etc... Whatever you can dream up.
  • Top with whipped cream.
