I made kefir cottage cheese and it gave me two quarts of whey. Donna, I used some to rinse my hair, and I froze some too. I marinate my chicken with it, feed my compost etc.

so I just recently made the kefir cottage cheese. It was awesome. I am also trying to improve my protein and this is a great way to do it. A gallon of milk, and it produced about 2 pints of cottage cheese.

i am 76 c section female…am doing all the stuff heavy for a month .... another month just silo…., SB kombucha,kraut and other foods the yogurt totally satisfies me and i am never hungry..i am also having days of die off..am i hurting my system w./ too much ferment?

I would love to know more of people’s systems for organizing all the ferments. I have so many jars all over the counters when I’m making things. It takes over the kitchen. Any great suggestions? How do you keep track of everything and also not have it be a cluttered messy look?

I put most of my veggie ferments in my pantry then after they are fermented I put them in the fridge. My kefir I keep out on the counter and my kombucha is in my laundry room. They are all over the place

I just want to say that I had a situation that my grains were left in the fridge for 5 months and they did come back to life! It took about two weeks. I weighed them every day and I was amazed when they went from 1 oz to 1.5 oz etc until I ended up with 4 oz of beautiful kefir grains. This was last year from Jan through May. I am still using these same grains!
