Cultured Asparagus
Asparagus is a prebiotic and you can change your gut flora in a day just by eating a few stalks of asparagus.

Equipment
Half Gallon Jar with Airlock
Ingredients
1
bunch
asparagus
stalks
2
teaspoon
Celtic Sea Salt
¼
teaspoon
Cutting Edge Cultures
(or you can use ½ cup
kefir whey
)
½
cup
filtered or spring water with minerals
Instructions
Place ½ cup of water in a small bowl with 1/4 tsp cultured package or kefir whey stir to mix thoroughly.
Trim bottom ends of asparagus so they will fit in your jar. Add asparagus, salt¸and culture, to jar.
Add water to fill jar leaving a 2 inch header at the top for vegetables to bubble and ferment. Place lid securely on jar.
Let sit on counter to ferment for 2 days, and then place in refrigerator.
Notes
This can last several months in your refrigerator but will continue to ferment slowly and the flavor will change overtime.
