SCOBY Date Balls
These are refined sugar free, blessed with probiotics from your SCOBY, and joined with the healing powers of coconut oil!
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1/4-1/2 cup Scoby Puree depending on how sour you want them
- 7 pitted dates vary the amount, depending on the sweetness you want
- 1 teaspoon vanilla or vanilla bean paste!
- 1/2 cup almonds
- 1/2 teaspoon Celtic Sea Salt
- 10 whole almonds (To top your date balls)
Using a food processor, blend your SCOBY puree and coconut oil.
Add in your dates, vanilla, salt, almonds and blend again. You may need to stop and scrape the bowl a few times to get it fully blended.
Once you obtain the consistency you desire (smooth or chunky), scoop with a small cookie scoop or a spoon onto a plate and add one whole almond to the top (for prettiness!)
Allow to cool in the fridge to harden for at least an hour and enjoy! You can store in the fridge for 1-2 weeks or in the freezer for several weeks.
