Instructions
Coffee Syrup
Bring water to a boil.
Turn off heat, add coffee, and let brew for 10-20 minutes.
Pour your coffee into a strainer lined with a paper filter into a large bowl.
When it's strained, add liquid coffee that was strained back to your saucepan.
Bring to a simmer and add sugar.
Let boil for 5 minutes, stirring to dissolve sugar.
Remove from heat and let cool
2nd Fermented Coffee Kombucha
Add 2 tablespoons of the coffee syrup to a 16-ounce bottle.
Fill with Basic Kombucha and place in a thick glass bottle made for brewing, leaving a little headspace at the top of the bottle.
Let sit at room temperature for 5-14 days checking for fizziness every couple of days. Warmer houses above 70°F will finish faster.
Once finished, drink right away or store in the refrigerator.
