Elderberry Kombucha

Elderberry syrup has been used for many years for the prevention of colds and flu. Combined with kombucha, you get an extra boost and a crazy delicious drink that you will love, love! Remember - always use good bottles made for brewing.

Ingredients

Elderberry Syrup

Elderberry Kombucha

  • 2 tablespoons elderberry syrup
  • 15 ounces Kombucha

Instructions

Elderberry Syrup

  • Add all ingredients to a sauce pan or pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover. Let simmer for 45 minutes. Let cool.
  • Strain out elderberries.

Elderberry Kombucha

  • Add 2 tablespoons of elderberry syrup to a 16 ounce brew-safe bottle
  • Add plain kombucha, leaving an inch of headspace.
  • Cap off and let sit 7-14 days. (Houses above 70°F will take less time.)
  • Once ready, you can drink immediately or store in the refrigerator.
