Cinnamon Date Kombucha
This is a great kombucha to have in the morning. Cinnamon has a long history both as a spice and as a medicine. If you’re looking for fiber, potassium, or copper look no further than dates. Together with kombucha, this is a lovely drink and a great holiday drink, too!
Add your dates and cinnamon stick to a 16-ounce bottle
Fill with Basic Kombucha and place in a thick glass bottle made for brewing, leaving a little headspace at the top of the bottle.
Let sit at room temperature for 5-10 days, checking for fizziness every couple of days. Warmer houses above 70 degrees will finish faster. (Fresh juice will be done closer to 5 days.)
Once finished, drink right away or store in the refrigerator.
Make sure you are using brew-safe bottles.
Note: You can use a date sugar-based first ferment Kombucha, or Coffee Kombucha, for even more flavor!
