Lavender Kombucha
Lavender has been used orally to treat nervousness, depression and headache, as well as loss of appetite and nausea. It a wonderful flavor in kombucha and quite refreshing.You can make this Kombucha 2 different ways.
Servings: 16 ounces
Lavender syrup
- 1/4 Cup Dried lavender buds
- 1/2 cup cane sugar
- 2 cups Water spring or filtered with minerals
Lavender Syrup
Add all ingredients for syrup into a small saucepan and let simmer for 10 minutes.
Let it cool, then strain out the lavender before adding the syrup to your kombucha bottles.
Lavender Kombucha
Add 2 tablespoons of cooled Lavender syrup to a 16 ounce bottle. (You can also use 1 teaspoon of lavender buds and 1/2 teaspoon of sugar instead)
Add plain kombucha, leaving an inch of headspace.
Cap off and let sit 5-14 days. (Houses above 70 degrees will take less time.) Check it often and when tart and bubbly it's done.
Once ready, you can drink immediately or store in the refrigerator.
