Prebiotic Seed Crackers
These seed crackers are so addictive and so good for you! They're super easy to make and can be made in many different combinations. I love to make a batch for a party or a holiday dinner. You literally soak the seeds spread them out on a baking sheet and bake. I love these crackers and I always keep my seeds frozen in the freezer to have on have when I need them.
- ½ cup sesame seeds white or black
- ½ cup flax seeds or chia seeds
- ½ cup pumpkin seeds
- ½ cup sunflower seeds
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 cup Water spring or filtered with minerals
Preheat oven to 275° F
Mix all seeds and garlic salt together in a medium-sized bowl.
Add in 1 cup of water.
Allow to "rest" for 30 minutes. (This allows the water to absorb)
Using a wet spatula or your hands carefully spread out the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment.
Spread until the mixture is about ¼ of an inch thick.
Bake for 1½ hours until completely dry and crispy.
(The thicker your spread it, the longer it will take to bake and become crisp)
Use a knife to score the mixture into evenly sized pieces.
Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
