Beautiful pictures, clearly written recipes. Great information on fermentation overall, and step-by-step instructions and recipes for making kefir, kombucha and cultured veggies. My only change would be to add an index so I may find my favorites easier. My family has definitely noticed a positive change in our health and attitudes since making these foods. We have incorporated fermented foods in our diet slowly, which has also opened doors for other health foods. There are foods for all palates here, including kids and picky eaters, as well as those who have been fermenting for awhile and need creative, adventurous recipes. I have taken 3 classes from the author, Donna Schwenk, so far. She is a genuine person who has seen first-hand how fermented foods help and she beautifully communicates her love of cultured foods in this book.

I love the recipes in this book. Tasty!! My family loves these ferments. Hope there is a Volume 2. We love the Kefir Coconut Ice Cream. The ferments in this book are unusual. This book is more than fermented veggies. Thanks for a wonderful book.

I’ve been using Donna’s probiotic recipes for the last few years. They have dramatically improved my health. I am an elementary school teacher and Donna encouraged me 5 years ago to try her probiotic recipes and incorporate them into my life. Prior to probiotics, it seemed like I was catching colds on a regular basis. Since using Donna’s probiotic recipes, I am rarely sick. I encourage anyone who struggles with their health to give her book a try.
