Lemon basil kefir

Lemon Basil Kefir

Did you know that kefir is five times more effective than yogurt? Yogurt has seven probiotics and homemade kefir has 30 to 56 probiotics. This is why we are learning all about kefir in this class. It’s more powerful than yogurt and most other foods on the planet. Kefir changed my life and it can change yours too.

I will be demonstrating how to make two kinds of kefir: Milk Kefir and water kefir, or kefir soda. I will teach you how to second ferment your kefir and make kefir cheese & whey. I will also show you how to make delicious kefir sodas. You even can sample them too! Just by making kefir you can make many cultured foods, including making cultured veggies with the whey.

If you make only one cultured food, I would recommend learning to make kefir. It is where I started and it turned my life around and changed me from the inside out.

Kefir soda is so fun!

Cultured Veggies

Cultured Veggies

So many people are struggling today with digestive issues and food allergies. My daughter Maci used to be one with severe food allergies. My daughter and so many of my friends and people who come to my classes have turned their food allergies and digestive issues around.

There is a reason so many are struggling today. It seems like an epidemic but it is really the bodies way of sending our a distress signal for help. Many don’t understand the reasoning behind this seemingly sudden epidemic with food allergies and stomach problems. There are many reasons and all so understanding on how to turn all of this around. I have seen many go from a limited diet of a few foods to now being able to eat anything.

Cultured foods can hold the answer for you and your family members.

Kefir

I will explain the reasoning and the help that is readily available to you.
I will demonstrate which foods are most effective and how to set up and eating plan that can help you digest your food and heal your gut. So many have done this and I want to help you too.

This is a local class in Kansas City. If you are not able to attend this class I will be putting together and online class that will be available soon.

So exciting to see such a large turn out for the last kombucha class. We had to turn away so many and have decided to do another class. Everybody should know how to make kombucha!

Learn to make Kombucha the wonder drink. If you haven’t tried kombucha you are missing out!

So what exactly is kombucha? Pronounced [Com-boo-cha]. Kombucha is a living health drink made by fermenting tea and sugar with a kombucha culture. It has been around for thousands of years. The sugar is consumed by these special cultures so you don’t have too. Then you’ll receive the benefits of probiotics in the process. So delicious you will want to drink it everyday. Much better than pop, bubbly and naturally carbonated. Learn how to make Bubbly fruit flavored kombucha and forgo pop. This class will teach you all the basics of how to make regular kombucha and how to make flavored kombucha too. Your body and taste buds will thank you.

Cultures will be available for purchase.

I have joined with Chef Mike Hursey to host a dinner complete with cultured foods at his beautiful Casa Somerset Bed & Breakfast Villa. This event is going to be so fun I have decided to tape it and put it online for others to enjoy. His place is so beautiful it took my breath away. Complete with vineyards and a herb garden and ponds. It has beautiful views and fountains and the feel of a real Italian Villa.I will teach you have to make a few of the items on the menu and you will get to take home the recipes from the meal.

We will feast on Roasted butternut squash lasagna made by master Chef Mike. I will be serving a salad complete with a probiotic dressing. A Tuscan appetizer made with vegetables and kefir. We will have gnocchi with a fermented pasta sauce and some kefir soda with kefir ice cream for desert.

I an so excited to have dinner with friends and share the ways that I make these foods. Come join the fun.

Learn to make live-cultured foods that are loaded with probiotics  and enzymes that can transform your life.

GreenAcres
welcomes back Donna Schwenk to learn how simple it is to make your own kefir, kombucha, and cultured vegetables.
Empower yourself with simple techniques for fermenting these healthful foods in your own home.

Now is the time to improve our health and make good   nutrition choices. Fermented foods improve digestion, help us to better absorb the nutrients we are consuming and restore the proper balance of bacteria in our system. They are fun to eat and make and can be less expensive than taking vitamins and enzymes from a supplement.

Donna Schwenk is the chapter leader for the WestonPrice Foundation, who are dedicated to restoring nutrient-dense foods to the human diet through education, research and activism.

hello my name is Sandy, I live in Mexico. I’m interested in the kind of kefir, you have the online course kefir? I have doubts on how to conserve it as the ferment that I have been shattered between my fingers like wet bread. perhaps no longer useful, as I can know if it still works to make good kefir? Excuse my English I’m using google translator.
